Starting from the 2010 Mustang Point of View

As my friend, Alan Hall, suggested today on Facebook, I am starting this blog from a 2010 Mustang Point of View. I have had the great fortune and fun of while working at Team Detroit on the 2010 Mustang campaign with Ford Motor Company . It’s been an exciting experience.

Our team started last summer when we teased the internet world through beautiful photographic images. Just releasing small glimpses of the upcoming model year’s interior and exterior . I watched as the automotive blog-o-sphere drooled with annoyance over every small weekly release.

Last fall, during the congressional hearings, it was widely said that the American automobile industry is dead. Our team then ran a contest for enthusiasts to tell their own personal Mustang story. It was pretty amazing to be on the inside and read all the Mustang Stories from around the country… Thousands were submitted. One particular story from a soldier in Iraq, Korey Chesher, caught the heart strings of our team and the clients. Talk about inspiring a sense of American Pride, the military and an iconic car. All I needed was some apple pie! I couldn’t wait to watch Ford give the car away on SpeedTV.

The latest in the ’10 Unleashed campaign is a real heart touching story. Ford gave Roger Keeney, a man who has been blind for the past 20 years, the opportunity to live his Mustang dream and get behind the wheel of a car again. It really is amazing what people sometimes do for each other.

Now you might be asking what, does that have to do with Dream Town Media?

I’ll explain more tomorrow.
